"Vortex" is a contemporary custom with a heavy performance edge by Weaver Customs. This 1953 Bel Air is packed with many custom all-steel body modifications, including a 1.75-inch chop, windshield leaned back 1.75 inches, wedge-sectioned hood, mohawk roof and decklid, belly pan, flush-mount glass, supercar-inspired front and rear valances, custom brake vents, rocker treatments and suicide doors. Covered in Axalta custom gray and with hand-brushed black chrome accents. Vortex features an LSX 376ci V8 engine with vintage twin-superchargers, TH350 3-speed automatic transmission with a 3500 stall, Art Morrison chassis, Boze wheels (20x15" rear, 18x8" front) and Mickey Thompson tires. The interior features Hyde's Italian leather trimmed by JS Custom Interiors. An all-steel hand-fabricated dash, waterfall console and hand-built roll bar hoops set Vortex's style. The interior is also accessorized with custom Dakota Digital gauges and Kicker audio. It has been honored as the 2019 World's Ultimate GM. Other accolades include LS Fest Grand Champion, Street Rodder Top 100, Goodguys awards, and multiple ISCA awards, including Best Engineered and Full Radical Hand Built.
